Via Snoqualmie Pass and Interstate 90
Much of the route along Highway 90 via Snoqualmie and Blewett passes is also scenic. Take exit number 85 north to Wenatchee on Highway 97. From Wenatchee head north on Alternate Highway 97 to Chelan.

Driving time is similar along either path.
There's a third, wonderfully scenic route from the Seattle area, if you're in no hurry. This one runs along the North Cascades Highway (Hwy 20) via Sedro Woolley. Highway 20 closes in wintertime.
If you're coming from the south or east, you'll want directions from Yakima and Spokane. There's an alternate route from Spokane by way of Wenatcheee that's longer in miles, but about the same driving time.
